Higher or Lower: Skyscraper Heights

  • Higher or Lower
  • Keep your streak alive
  • Endless rounds

Can you tell the Empire State Building from the Chrysler Building at a glance, or guess whether Taipei 101 tops the Willis Tower? This higher or lower skyscraper height game shows two famous towers and asks you to pick the taller one. Heights are official architectural heights in feet, with meters alongside, from Dubai's Burj Khalifa to New York classics and record-breakers across Asia.

About this game

Every height here is the architectural height recognized by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, the group that ranks the world's tallest buildings. It measures from the main street-level entrance to the top of the building, including spires but not antennas or flagpoles. That rule explains a few surprises: a slender spire counts, so the spire on One World Trade Center adds to its official height, while the antennas on top of the Willis Tower do not.

Each round reveals one building's height and hides the other. Tap the building you think is taller, then see the official numbers. A correct pick makes that tower your new anchor and grows your streak, while one wrong answer ends the game. The list mixes historic Art Deco icons, sleek new supertalls and record holders from around the world, so expect some close calls between buildings that look similar on a skyline. Remember that height is not the same as floor count.
