Which Aussie Animal Are You?

Are you a sleepy koala, a bouncy kangaroo, a one-of-a-kind platypus or a cackling kookaburra, Australia's famous laughing bird? This Aussie animal personality quiz asks how you spend your weekends, handle stress and pick a vacation, then matches you with the Down Under creature that shares your vibe. It takes about a minute, and your result is made for sharing with friends who'll swear they saw it coming.

How Australia got such unusual animals

Australia's wildlife looks unlike anything else on Earth for a simple reason: isolation. The continent split from Antarctica roughly 50 million years ago and drifted on its own, giving its animals millions of years to evolve without much outside competition. The result is astonishing. Around 69% of Australia's mammals and about 93% of its reptiles are found nowhere else. Marsupials raise their young in pouches, a few mammals lay eggs, and the birds can sound like anything from a bell to a burst of laughter.

This personality quiz borrows that cast of characters and matches your everyday habits to the creature whose vibe fits you best. You'll answer a handful of quick questions about weekends, stress, vacations and the soundtrack of your life. Each answer quietly points toward one of four animals, and your result is whichever one you lean toward most. There are no wrong answers and nothing to study, so go with your first instinct rather than the option you think sounds coolest.

Keep in mind that this is just for fun. It isn't a psychological test, and plenty of people are a mix of all four. Take it again with friends and compare results.
