Every trainer has a type they always seem to drift toward, and it usually says something about them. This Pokémon personality quiz asks how you handle stress, spend a lazy Sunday and show up for friends, then matches you with Fire, Water, Grass or Electric. It's seven quick questions with no wrong answers, and your result makes a fun conversation starter with anyone who grew up trading on a Game Boy.
Pokémon started as Pocket Monsters Red and Green, released in Japan on February 27, 1996. American players got Red and Blue on September 28, 1998, and the craze spread fast through school playgrounds, Saturday morning cartoons and trading card binders. Creator Satoshi Tajiri drew on his childhood love of collecting bugs, which is why catching, raising and trading creatures sits at the heart of every game.
Types are what make battles feel like a giant game of rock, paper, scissors. The original games had 15 of them, and more have been added since, each with its own strengths, weaknesses and personality. Fans tend to pick a favorite early, often based on their very first partner, and many stick with that type for decades. That loyalty is part of what makes asking about types so much fun.
This quiz skips the battle math entirely. Instead, it asks about your weekends, your habits and how you treat friends, and each answer nudges you toward one of four types. Whichever type earns the most points becomes your match. There are no wrong answers, and it's purely for fun rather than a real personality test, so pick whatever feels most like you.
