Some people sprint straight for the flagpole, while others want to explore every corner of the map first. This Nintendo character quiz asks about your snacks, your friendships and how you tackle a challenge, then matches you with Mario, Link, Kirby or Princess Peach. Each result celebrates a different way of playing life, from fearless jumping to sweet-natured kindness, so you get a match worth sharing with your gaming crew.

Why Nintendo's heroes feel like old friends

Long before video games, Nintendo was a small company in Kyoto, Japan. Founded in 1889, it started out making hanafuda, a style of Japanese playing cards. It moved into toys and then electronic games, and in 1981 a little jumping hero called Jumpman appeared in the arcade game Donkey Kong. He was soon renamed Mario, and the rest is gaming history.

Nintendo's biggest characters stick around because each one stands for a clear style of play. Some are about running and jumping, some about exploring and solving puzzles, and some about cheerful chaos with friends. Many players grew up spending summers with these heroes on the couch or in the back seat, so picking a favorite often feels personal, almost like picking a childhood buddy.

This quiz turns that feeling into a fun match. You'll answer seven questions about weekends, food, outfits and how you handle a challenge, and each answer leans toward one of four characters. The one with the most points becomes your result. There are no wrong answers, and it's just for fun, not an official or scientific test, so go with your gut and see who you get.
