The story behind the Seven Wonders

Long before travel blogs, ancient Greek writers made lists of the most impressive things a traveler could see. They called them theamata, meaning sights, and the poet Antipater of Sidon recorded one of the best-known lists more than 2,000 years ago. Other writers, including the historian Herodotus, compiled their own, but the number seven stuck, a figure that carried special meaning in the ancient world. The wonders were built over more than two thousand years, and all seven stood at the same time for less than 60 years. Only one still stands today.

This personality quiz uses those legendary monuments as a way of describing how you work, love and leave your mark. You'll answer a handful of quick questions about group projects, friendships, homes and how you'd like to be remembered. Each choice points toward one of four wonders, and your result is the one that comes up most often. There are no wrong answers, so pick whatever feels most like you rather than what sounds most impressive.

It's meant purely for fun, not as a psychological test. Share your result, then see which wonder your friends land on.
